The Impact Mechanism of Intelligent Logistics Technology Application on Supply Chain Performance in Manufacturing Enterprises

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technologies has accelerated the transformation of traditional logistics systems toward intelligent and data-driven operations. As an important component of supply chain management, intelligent logistics technologies, including artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, big data analytics, cloud computing, and automated logistics systems, are increasingly adopted by manufacturing enterprises to improve logistics efficiency and strengthen supply chain competitiveness. This study investigates the impact mechanism of intelligent logistics technology application on manufacturing enterprise supply chain performance. A conceptual framework is developed to examine the direct effect of intelligent logistics technology application on supply chain performance, while further exploring the mediating roles of logistics operational efficiency and supply chain collaboration. Intelligent logistics technologies enable enterprises to improve information visibility, optimize resource allocation, enhance inventory and transportation management, and strengthen coordination among supply chain participants. These improvements are expected to contribute to higher levels of supply chain responsiveness, operational flexibility, delivery reliability, and overall performance. The study provides a theoretical explanation of how digital and intelligent technologies create value within manufacturing supply chains and offers managerial implications for manufacturing enterprises seeking to promote digital transformation and intelligent logistics development. The findings are expected to support more effective technology investment and supply chain management strategies in an increasingly complex and dynamic business environment.
