Numerical Investigation of Mechanical Joint Performance in Offshore Platforms

Abstract

This study investigates the mechanical performance of structural joints used in offshore platforms. Numerical simulations were conducted to evaluate stress distribution, deformation characteristics, and load-bearing capacity under harsh marine environments. The results demonstrate that optimized joint designs effectively improve structural reliability and long-term operational safety.
